Calls on the Commission to ensure, at the latest by mid 2011, framework conditions for the development of electric vehicles, notably concerning standardisation of software for infrastructure and charging stationinfrastructures and charging technologies which will guarantee interoperability and safety of infrastructures. Furthermore calls on the Commission to set up harmonised requirements for the approval of electric vehicles, with specific regards to health and safety, for both workers and end- users;
