Calls on the Commission to pursue equality between men and women in terms of access to microfinance and to envisage an equal target ratio between male and female entrepreneurs in the future; calls on the Commission and Member States to encourage intermediaries to implement specific strategies to target women and support female entrepreneurship, including through cooperation with relevant associations and organisations in the field;

Highlights the importance of a gender perspective to be incorporated into funding programmes; believes that gender impact assessments and gender budgeting are useful in evaluating and improving the impact on women of funding priorities, the allocation of financial resources and specifications for funding programmes; emphasises the need for gender-disaggregated data to be systematically collected and regularly analysed;
