Notes that an increased effort is required in many Member States to educate the workforce, including adult education and vocational training opportunities; puts an emphasis on life-long learning, as it gives the opportunity to re-skill in the ever-changing labour market; calls for an increase in the promotion targeted at women and girls of STEM subjects to address existing education stereotypes and combat long-term gender employment -, pay - and pensions gaps;
