Recalls the fundamental principles concerning procurement as expressed in paragraph 18 of its resolution of 24 April 20071 accompanying the discharge decision in respect to the financial year 2005; nNotes that the Internal Audit Service carried out a comprehensive audit of the management and control of the public procurement process in Parliament in 2004 and 2005 and that the final report adopted on 31 March 2006 comprised 144 specific measures for implementation over the period to 31 March 2008;
