Recognises women’s contribution to the economy in rural areas as entrepreneurs, heads of the family business and promoters of sustainable development and their importance as stakeholders in the entire economic and social development of these areas; stresses, in particular, women’s fundamental role as members of family farms, which constitute the main socioeconomic cell of rural areas that cares for food production, preservation of traditional knowledge and skills, national and cultural identity and protection of the environment;
