Acknowledges the impact that greener citiescities, in which green spaces will occupy an increasing area, can have in achieving the goals that were set out in the Paris agreement; underlines the environmental importance greener cities can have in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly with regard to better use of water and soil resources, as well as the potential for improving biodiversity in the urban environment; and the wellbeing of people living in urban areas;
