17. Expresses concern about rising tensions in the Middle East and the destabilising role that the Iranian regime and its network of non-state actors play in the region; urges all parties to show maximum restraint, commit to de- escalation and refrain from any further escalation, as a regional conflict must be avoided at all costs; calls upon the VP/HR and the Member States to continue and step up their diplomatic efforts with international partners, including with the Gulf countries, in order to encourage urgent de-escalation and meaningful dialogue; continue the support to the Abraham Accords as economic and societal stabilising factor.
