Voices its concern over the possibility of the deregulation of the market in gambling and lotteries if that entails restricting support for education, health, principally amateur sport and culture; calls on the Commission, therefore, to draw up a study concerning the possible implications for society and sport of fully opening up the market in gambling and lotteries and what type of control mechanisms could be brought into operation to protect consumers;
