Emphasises the important role of physical education in schools, as physical activity and healthy lifestyles are key factors in improving learners' health; calls therefore on the Commission and the European External Action Service (EEAS) to support national authorities in ensuring sufficient and safe sports facilities in schools and the training of qualified sports teachers;
