1. The Office shall draw up an annual report on the situation of asylum in the European Union. As part of this report, the Office shall evaluate the results of activities carried out under this Regulation and make a comprehensive comparative analysis of them with the aim of verifying the compliance of national rules with European and international rules, promoting a better understanding of good practice by the Member States and improving the quality, consistency and effectiveness of the Common European Asylum System.
