Member States shall deploy no later than 1 October 20156 months after the entry into force of Regulation (EU) n° xxxx/xxxx on type- approval requirements for the deployment of the eCall in-vehicle system the necessary eCall PSAP infrastructure required for the proper receipt and handling of all eCalls, if necessary purged of non-emergency calls, on their territory, in accordance with the specifications laid down by Delegated Regulation (EU) No 305/2013, in order to ensure the compatibility, interoperability and continuity of the interoperable EU- wide eCall service. This is without prejudice to the right of each Member State to organise its emergency services in the way most cost effective and appropriate to its needs, including the possibility to filter calls that are not emergency calls and may not be handled by eCall PSAPs, in particular in the case of manually triggered eCalls. 12 months after entry into force of Regulation (EU) n° xxxx/xxxx on type- approval requirements for the deployment of the eCall in-vehicle system, the Commission shall present a report regarding the readiness of the telecommunications and PSAP infrastructure in all Member States including the measures to be taken in order to fulfil the deadline provided in Art.12 of that Regulation.
