Welcomes the elaboration of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region, that will be completed by the end of this year, and supports its endorsement and beginning of implementation in the first part of 2011; underlines the need of extending the EU Strategy for the Danube Region towards the Black Sea Region; recalls that the sustainable development of the Danube Region will further enhance the geostrategic importance of the Black Sea; consequently, while acknowledging the different nature of the regions and distinct geographical focus of the two strategies, considers that they should be complementary and mutually reinforcing;
