Stresses the importance of focusing on gender equality in the transition to a new sustainable economy, since women are more likely to be in an insecure position on the labour market owing to precarious employment conditions and a consistent gender-based wage gap; calls for the development of labour market policies which address the gender dimension, accompanied by programmes designed to recruit women to non-traditional jobs, considering the fact that green economy should be an opportunity for women to increase their participation into the labour market through better-paid, high skilled and rewarding jobs;
