Calls on the Commission to implement the gender equality approach, with specific actions and gender mainstreaming in the preparation and implementation of pension reform, including in the proposals in the upcoming White Paper on pension systems to promote use of the same actuarial calculation of pensions for men and women, to promote decreasing the risk of poverty, to close the gender pensions gap and to end the practice of compulsory retirement, while allowing older women to participate to the labour market by tackling discrimination;
