Regards it as urgently necessary to Calls on the Commission to develop communication strategies to spread information on the science of climakte change (based on the latest IPCC findings), energy saving strategies, energy efficiency measures and the use of renewable energy sources impinge much more strongly on the everyday consciousness of the publicto the general public, in addition suggests that EU youth exchange programmes focus on common climate change awareness projects and therefore calls on the Commission to commission annually, via Eurobarometer, an EU citizen survey measuring citizen's attitudes and perceptions towards climate change, and furtherefmore calls for general and simple efficiency standards for all areas of everyday life;
