Stresses that Galileo and EGNOS are instrumental in the creation of a Single European Sky and for the further development of safe and cost -effective air traffic management in Europe, and therefore calls for setting an ambitious and firm timetable, along with stable financing forof research and innovation, which will ensure technological progress and the growth of industrial capacity, and also for facilitation of SME access to financing, with a view to implementing both programmes as a precondition for a timely launch of the Single European Sky, the latter being a vital strategic step towards furthering European integration and strengthening the European common market;
