Draws attention to the new tasks awarded to the Agency in the proposal for a regulation amending Regulation (EC) No 1406/2002; calls on the Commission to increase the resources allocated to the Agency and on the Agency to manage those resources soundly so as properly to fulfil the new responsibilities entrusted to it on the basis of Regulation (EC) No 1406/2002;
