Calls on Member States to increase investment in education and to provide the necessary support for schools and teachers to carry out and continuously develop an EU dimension in education; considers that if the Member States make a shared commitment to attain a common goal this will help them achieve a single and uniform result, which will foster integration still further;

Considers that Member States, in consultation with educational actors, should seek opportunities to exchange ideas and examples of good practice in integrating an EU dimension into their educational programmes in order to enable young people to see the Union as an integral part of their living environment; encourages the various sectors involved in education to enter into dialogue and cooperation in order to better achieve the outcomes targeted by the EU;
