Notes that the role of women in peace negotiations and mediation as taken into consideration in GAP II is not sufficient; recalls the UN Security Council Resolution 1325 for the active participation of women in all stages of conflict prevention and conflict management; underlines that women prevent violence and provide security and when they influence decisions about war and peace and take the lead against extremism in their communities, it is more likely crises will be resolved without recourse to violence;
