1. Notes with concern that as indicated in the IPBES Global Assessment on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services report, nature is declining globally at rates unprecedented in human history and the rate of species extinctions is accelerating, with grave impacts on people around the world now likely; stresses that biodiversity loss is the most critical and acute crisis we are facing; expresses its deep concern after the publication of the IPCC report on the ocean and cryosphere in a changing climate, on the decline of marine mammals and fisheries as wells as on the dramatic disappearance of coral reefs;
