Considers it misleading on the partthe Commission shall strengthen its explanation and awareness work to citizens on the objective reasons why such negotiations ofn the Commissiontransatlantic partnership are needed to try to appease public concerns about the TTIP by stating that existing standards will not be lowered, as this disregards the fact that many standards have yet to be set in the implementation of existing (framework) legislation (e.g. REACH) or by the adoption of new laws (e.g. cloning);. Insists also on the fact that the European Union shall maintain the same level of protection on public health, food safety and the environment.
