Recalls that the primary goal of the CAP is to guarantee market stabilisation, provide security and ensure reasonable prices for consumers and producers and therefore calls on the Commission to provide in the 2011 budget for the necessary means to address the new needs arising from the economic crisis;

Asks the Commission to report on the implementation of the ‘Dairy Fund’ introduced in the 2010 budget in order to mitigate the consequences of price fluctuations in the dairy sector, and to present a permanent approach in this field as well as concrete proposals for dealing with price volatility in dairy markets for the future;
