Welcomes President Obama's renewed commitment to the fight against climate change; urges the partners to agree, as early as possible, on binding commitments on the reduction of emissions; highlights the need to involve the Atlantic countries in this effort, especially because of the impact of climate change on food production, biodiversity and deforestation in Latin America and Atlantic Africa and recalls the correlated issues of land- grabbing and the respect for vulnerable groups such as indigenous peoples;
