Welcomes the Commission's proposal for a directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on consumer rights of 8 October 2008 (COM(2008)0614) that, it is to be hoped, will bring a greater degree of legal certainty, transparency and protection for the growing number of consumers buying over the Internet, particularly regarding delivery, the passing of risk, conformity with the contract and commercial guarantees;
