CallRegrets the lack of focus onf the Member States to fully comply with the existing requirements of the Landfill Directive, including the objective for 2035, by which date the amount of municipal waste landfilled is to be reduced to 10 % or less of the total amount ofLandfill Directive on the prevention, therefore calls for its alignment with the overarching principles of the Circular Economy Action Plan; reiterates its call in Resolution 2020/2077 on the new Circular Economy Action Plan that the 10% landfill target should be set on a baseline year as kg of waste per person per year, so that the combined effect of reduction, reuse, recycling and composting delivers the best environmental result, while muinicipal waste generated, by weight;mising landfilling of residuals, as well as the calls on the Commission to develop a comprehensive strategy to ensure that Member States that are likely to miss that target take corrective measures and actionspropose targets to cap the generation of residual waste in the review of the Waste Directive and Landfill Directive foreseen for2024;
