Underlines that in the case of some crimes, such as human trafficking, it is necessary to further reinforce the gender perspective; calls on the Commission to develop specific guidelines to mainstream gender and human rights expertise in the activities of law enforcement authorities across the EU as well as in its cooperation with other international law enforcement authorities;

Urges Member States and Europol to intensify cooperation with Interpol with the aim of improving exchanges of information and supporting cross-border investigations related to trafficking in human beings, especially for the purpose of sexual exploitation; in this regard, calls on the Commission to provide the necessary financial support to Europol to enable the strengthening of its cooperation with Interpol in this field;
