Agrees with the Commission that Europe needs to maintain independent access to space in order to be able to achieve its space policy aims and to derive lasting benefit from space applications in fields such as transport policy; therefore encourages the Commission to make concrete proposals for the strategic launch vehicles sub-sector, paying particular attention to it in the proposed space industrial policy;
