Considers that, given the high mobility of fish stocks, fishing fleets and the capital underlying the fleets, as well as the global nature of markets for fish, IUU fishing can only be effectively fought by international cooperation; trusts that the EU’s efforts to combat IUU fishing will achieve such success that the measures may be used as an example to third countries to adopt similar practices;
