Stresses that the EU budget must not fund or co-finance any campaign that promotes the Islamic headscarf, such as the Council of Europe's 'WE CAN for human rights speech' campaign, co- financed by the Commission, which claimed that 'beauty is in diversity as freedom is in the hijab' and could therefore exert pressure on Muslim girls and women to wear the headscarf;
