Expects the fight against climate change to remain high on the EU’s ‘post- Copenhagen’ political agenda in 2010 and 2011, and recalls that, as part of a broader approach, sustainable development is an ongoing responsibility to the next generations; asks the Commission to provide a clear action plan and timetable for the implementation of appropriations under the EU action programme to combat climate change; underlines that the transport sector represents a great potential in the fight against climate change and calls on the Commission to give priority to measures for decarbonisation in all transport modes; recalls that the release of the reserve on this line will depend upon the Commission’s proposals;
