Calls on the Commission to urgently develop a legal and policy framework based on the principle of equal treatment, to decrease the huge differences that presently exist between the remuneration (payment gap) and working conditions of workers employed in identical or basically similar positions and by the same company (group) in different Member States, in violation of the most fundamental values of the EU, including non-discrimination and cohesion;
