Stresses that private eCall services should also ensure respect for the principles of privacy and data protection, providing in particular for informed consent and the possibility of opting out, in line with the recommendations of the Article 29 Working Party; consumers' informed consent should be based on full information about the amount of data gathered and the purpose to which it is gathered; additionally, consumers should be able to withdraw their consent at any time;
