Underlines that the learning goal for an EU dimension in education should enablebe for learners not only to acquire knowledge, but also to e and understanding of the history and current state of the EU, its language in a critical reflection on the EU, including EU decision-making processes and how these influence their Member State and their democratic participation; s, all the values on which the EU is based and its institutions, powers and decisions, and for pupils also to be taught to think critically in this connection so that they can view EU decisions and decision-making processes in their context and independently assess their impact on their Member State and on the EU;
