Is concerned by the growing tendency of the Commission to infringe on the autonomy of social partners; notes, for example, that the Commission in this year's country-specific recommendations urges a number of Member States to restructure national systems for wage formation and/or to reduce national wage levels; stresses that this tendency is not acceptable and that it should be reversed; underlines that the autonomy of social partners is a crucial element of any well- functioning labour market and that it is protected inter alia in Articles 152 and 153.5 of the TFEU;

Welcomes the important Commission initiative of 27 June 2012 to reinforce the fight against tax fraud end evasion; stresses that enhanced efforts in this area - at the national and EU levels as well as in relation to third countries - should be a crucial element in programmes aimed at consolidating public finances; calls for the raised level of ambition signalled by the initiative to be fully materialised in future legislative proposals and to be clearly reflected in the continuous work within the framework of the European Semester;
