Stresses that interoperability and standardisation are among the key elements for implementing eGovernment structures, and therefore welcomes the Commission’s communication entitled ‘European standards for the 21st century’ and its plan to revise the European Interoperability Framework; stresses that standards must serve the interests of the society at large by being inclusive, fair and future proof, and be developed in an open and transparent way;
