Points out that current budgetary and macro-economic policies in Europe are gender-blind, strongly demands the implementation of gender budgeting into the new Multiannual Financial Framework; urges the Commission to carry out a separate gender impact assessment of the EU budget each year to be presented as an annexed document and to serve as a gender mainstreaming monitoring document, on which the EP's Women's Rights Committee should deliver a report;

7. Welcomes the Survey on Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe (SHARE); underlines that special attention must be paid to the gender aspects of demographic change especially in terms of adequacy of women's pensions and universal access to affordable, accessible and high quality health service;
