Points out the growing importance of the EU-ASEAN partnership as well as bilateral cooperation with South-East- Asian countries; advocates to develop and advance European policies regarding tensions and conflicts in the South-China- Sea and East-China-Sea regions on the basis of supporting active conflict prevention and peaceful conflict resolution strategies and in particular on the basis of international maritime law as codified under UNCLOS;
