Calls for a focus on leveraging synergies across EU instruments to support and develop maritime clusters; welcomes initiatives at Member State level, such as Ireland’s INFOMAR programme; considers maritime transport of goods to be an alternative to long-distance road transport and calls for maritime routes to be developed, particularly in the Atlantic arc and the Mediterranean basin;
