(40) Improving the exchange of information between FIUs within the EU is of particular importance to face the transnational character of money laundering and terrorist financing. The use of secure facilities for the exchange of information, especially the decentralised computer network FIU.net and the techniques offered by thatsuch a network should be encouraged by Member States.
