Recommends the adoption of a simplified approach to the use of the Structural Funds in the future regulatory framework; highlights that the harmonisation of rules and procedures may lead to simplified delivery systems and encourage participation by potential beneficiaries in EU co-funded programmes; recommends sticking to existing financing mechanisms such as Structural Funds and Cohesion Fund, which have well- well-established and operational delivery mechanisms;
