A transport undertaking shall organise the work of drivers in such a way that the drivers are able to spend at least one regular weekly rest period or a weekly rest of more than 45 hours taken in compensation for reduced weekly rest at homthe driver’s place of residence within each period of threefour consecutive weeks.;

The fact that the regular weekly rest period and a weekly rest of more than 45 hours taken in compensation for previously reduced weekly rest, which – as recorded by a tachograph – is taken by the driver in a Member State other than the country where the undertaking is established, has indeed been taken, shall be verified by way of a declaration provided by the driver. The model of such declaration shall be specified by the EC.
