Article 156 a (new)
Article 156a In order to ensure the rational development of mountain and hill farming and thus to ensure a fair standard of living for dairy farmers in mountain areas, as from 30 April 2014, in mountain and hill areas, recognised producer organisations, taking into account the specific features of these areas, may submit operational programmes to improve the profit margins of these producers. The Union financial assistance shall be limited to 4.1 % of the value of the marketed production of each producer organisation. However, that percentage may be increased to 4.6 % of the value of the marketed production provided that the amount in excess of 4.1 % of the value of the marketed production is used solely for crisis prevention and management measures.
