Whereas the geographical proximity of the conflict in Syria, the easy access to Syria, and the atrocities of the Syrian government and its international condemnation has given great legitimacy to armed commitment and has therefore increased the recruitment of volunteers to fight the Syrian regime by means of joining Jihad terrorist groups such as ISIS.
