Urges the Commission to propose the necessary measures in order to expand data collection for recreational fisheries to encompass more fish stocks and to make the collection of data on its socio-economic impact mandatory and to produce a comprehensive impact assessment to clearly demonstrate the economic, social and environmental impact of EU legislation on the recreational fishing sector; stresses that this is in line with the European Commission's better regulation agenda;
