The Common Fisheries Policy shall ensure that fishing and aquaculture activities provide long-term sustainable environmental, economic and social conditions and contribute to the availability of food suppliwill ensure a level of exploitation of live aquatic resources that facilitates fishing and aquaculture in sustainable environmental, economic and social conditions, promoting competitiveness in the sector, as well as social protection and an improvement in the employment and quality of life in fishing and aquacultural zones.
