Stresses the need for the Commission and the Member States to reach a stronger commitment to apply Article 174 of the TFEU; emphasises that greater territorial cohesion implies greater economic and social cohesion, and therefore calls for strategic investment in those regions, in particular broadband network, with a view to making them more competitive, improving industry and territorial structure and, ultimately, stabilising the population in those areas;
