Stresses the need to tackle food waste, since each year 1.3 billion tonnes of food is wasted or lost, a quantity that could be used to reduce the problem of undernutrition and help the poor and needy; also points out that for every tonne of food waste avoided, approximately 4.2 tonnes of CO2 could be saved, which would have a significant impact on the environment;
