(e) ‘tourism’ shall refer – for the purposes of this regulation – to the activity of visitors taking a trip to a main destination outside the usual environment, for less than a year, for any main purpose, including business, leisure or other personal purpose, other than to be employed by a resident entity in the place visited, and shall cover bothonly overnight visitors and same-day visitors;

(6) For all data required by this Regulation, the first reference period shall begin on 1 January of the calendar year following the year in which this Regulation enters into force if the legislative procedure is completed by 30 June of the year of entry into force. If the regulation enters into force after 30 June, the first reference period shall be postponed to one year later.
