Calls on the Commission to evaluate the scope for using EU Regional Development and Social Fund monies to promote cultural activities, and especially to promote the creative sector, in the Member States; asks the Commission to submit a report on the findings of the evaluation to the European Parliament, at the latest alongside the Creative Europe programme mid-term report, i.e. by 31 December 2017;
