INotes that the ERDF makes a massive contribution to the funding of energy – and other – infrastructure projects; insists on the integrity of cohesion policy and calls on the Commission to refrain from creating new sectoral funds, e.g. for energy or climate; encourages the Commission to learn from experience with cohesion policy when establishing measures for energy policy, in particular with regard to project selection;
